At least 46 people were killed, including a prominent Imam, Mawlawi Mujib Rahman Ansari, and 84 worshipers injured in a suicide bomb during Friday prayers in the northwestern city of Herat in Afghanistan.
The attack which occurred in Herat’s Guzargah Masjid, was possibly carried out by multiple attackers, “one of the suicide bombers blew himself up while kissing [Imam Ansari’s] hands,” police spokesman Mahmoud Rasool said.
