Over 600 Palestinians Identified Among those Tortured to Death by Assad Regime

news

The Action Group for Palestinians of Syria documented the killing of 638 Palestinian refugees as a result of torture at the hands of Assad’s intelligence agents, including 37 women, and indicated in a report on Sunday that 77 of them were identified through the leaked “Caesar” photographs of torture victims.

They explained that the Assad regime’s security branches handed over dozens of families of torture victims the identification papers of their children, and said that its monitoring team documented the killing of more than 50 refugee camp residents after reviewing the departments.

The report quoted detainees’ testimonies confirming the inhumane practices of the Assad regime against detainees, in general, and Palestinian women in particular, from electric shocks, ghosting, beatings with whips and iron sticks, rape and other types of torture.
