Syrian Interim Government Prime Minister Abdul Rahman Mustafa held a meeting with US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs and US Special Envoy to Syria Ethan Guterres, during which the two sides discussed discussed the latest developments in northern Syria.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister discussed the prevailing conditions in northern Syria and the services provided by the interim government, particularly in health, education and relief, basic needs of the population inside Syria and the latest developments in the political process.

He stressed that the meeting had been fruitful, during which the point of view of the interim government on the political, economic and security conditions in the liberated areas was clarified.

The two sides agreed on the importance of deepening bilateral coordination and joint cooperation between the interim government and the US State Department, and working to hold periodic meetings to coordinate efforts.

Mustafa had confirmed last October 27, in a video speech, that the interim government had drawn up a vast administrative and military reform plan, in addition to improving living conditions in northern Syria, in the context of recent fighting. between the national army factions and the intervention of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.
