According to local sources, former leader of the Al-Hisbah department of the ISIS, Mosaed Al-Khalawi Hassan Al-Aweera, Abu Bakr Al-Tukaihi, was killed in a dawn raid yesterday morning in the village of Takihi Deir Ezzor, Syria.
The operation was credited to the US led anti ISIS coalition which deployed troops and a weaponized drone in the operation. Sources say Khalawi was killed by the drone while trying to flee the scene.
Sources claim Khalawi was formerly in charge of Al-Hisbah, the apparatus that enforced public adherence to ISIS policy in places like the markets, schools and communal spaces and places of worship.
