25 Muslim Homes Leveled in India

25 homes in a Muslim locality were destroyed by the Delhi Development Authority with the police watching on the 21st of this month in India.  Eyewitnesses state that the incident occurred as many of the men in the community were away at Jumua’h prayers.  Officials in the area of the incident, Kharak Riwara Satbari, told onlookers that the land belonged to a private dealer. However an activist at the scene said, “No survey has been conducted so far.  No process was followed”.  The demolition of Muslim homes is on the rise in India since the Hindu nationalist government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi took power in 2014.
