Idlib, Syria Tense as Protests Grow
After HTS security personnel attacked peaceful protesters this Tuesday in war torn Idlib, Syria the situation has been extremely tense. Protest leaders have been calling for huge demonstrations after Friday prayers to demonstrate their displeasure with HTS’ strongman Abu Muhammad Jolani’s continued rule.
Several protesters were stabbed in the head by knife wielding security officers during the break up of the sit in that took place at the military court. security officers were also video taped as they threw heavy rocks from the roof of a building onto protesters below. Several women were also assaulted by security officers including protester Rehab Eisa who was stabbed in the abdomen and back by HTS personnel.
