The Toll of Seven Years of Russian Occupation in Syria

news

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) says that the Russian intervention in Syria seven years ago has killed about 7,000 civilians and displaced 4.8 million Syrians.

Russia has used its veto 17 times against the interests of the Syrian people in the political transition and in protecting the Assad regime, including four times before its direct military intervention in Syria and 13 times after its military intervention.

According to Syria Civil Defense the White Helmets, the organization has responded to 5,245 Russian airstrikes, where they saw the use of 320 internationally banned cluster munitions on civilian centers and attacks with 131 prohibited incendiary weapons. The total number in all of Syria far exceeds these numbers.
