Shipment of Over 700,000 Narcotic Pills from Syria Intercepted by Saudi Authorities

Saudi authorities regularly seize illegal shipments of Captagon and amphetamine tablets, mainly originating from Syria and Lebanon. On Wednesday Saudi Ministry of Interior announced the seizure of 765,000 tablets concealed inside a shipment of watermelon coming from the areas controlled by the Assad regime.

The shipment belong to five individuals three Syrian residents, in Assad’s areas, and two Saudi citizens from Riyadh. The suspects were arrested, and initial legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the Public Prosecution.
