The Kurdish political activist, Omar Ahmed, declared: “The PKK uses the map of the Syrian Kurds to obtain a number of interests, the most important of which is to remove its name from the terrorist lists”, considering that “the war in Syria was an opportunity for the PKK to invest in various areas.”
He pointed out that the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and its affiliates in Syria had failed to remove the name of the PKK from the terrorist lists despite rendering great services to the international coalition forces in Syria against ISIS. , pointing out that party activists work as guards for international coalition bases and oil installations in Syria in exchange for money and arms.
The political activist underlined, in an interview with the site “Basnews”, that “the PKK invests the Syrian Kurdish map for its objectives, and everything the party does has nothing to do with the interest of the Kurdish people in Syria “.
He explained that “PKK militants work as security forces for international coalition bases and oil installations in Syria in exchange for money and weapons”, and Ahmed indicated that “the PKK has trained the Kurds to Syria in a conflict in which they have no interest.”
The “Basnews” site quoted Shaheen Ahmed, a leader of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan – Syria, as saying earlier: “The Syrian regime brought in the PKK as part of a security agreement and will not offer anything to the Kurds in Syria”.
