Hizb ut Tahrir Member Arrested in Atarib

According to local sources the security apparatus of HTS arrested Nasser Abdel Hai, a member of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir (HT), in front of his house in the city of Atarib. He was detained for 48 hours before being released, following protests and outcry.

The arrest was not the first against members and officials of the HT, an international Islamic organization calling for establishing Khilafah, a world state system uniting all Muslim majority nations under Islamic Law and a single leader.
