Four Children Drown as Greece Continues Merciless ‘Push back’ Policy

news

A boat for migrants sank off the coast of the state of Çanakkale, western Turkey. The Turkish Coast Guard announced that it had found the body of a migrant, while it was able to rescue 15 people who were on board the boat which is believed to have carried 20 people, mostly Syrians. Six of the passengers drowned, including four children, while Turkish authorities transported 15 survivors, seven children among them, to hospital.

According to Turkish sources, quoting the survivors, the Greek coast guard caused the drowning of the group after it made a hole in the rubber boat that they were traveling in. This comes only days after Turkish President Erdogan said “Greece is turning the Aegean Sea into a refugee graveyard” at the UN demanded the EU and UN do something to curb the Greece’s abuse and murder of refugees.
