Escalation of Aggression and Attacks between Armenia and Azerbaijan End

A ceasefire was put into place thanks to what Armenian security council secretary said was “the involvement of the international community” in the violent border clashes that flared up this week over 100 Armenia troops were reported killed by Armenian sources, while Azerbaijan reported 50 military deaths on the first day of fighting.

After the escalation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Tajik army clashed with the Kyrgyz army near the border between the two countries. With Russia preoccupied in Ukraine and its image beginning to collapse, unrest between the countries of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan are occurring, with some analysts positing possible agitation from the west as these countries have wealth that can compensate losses from Russia.
