So far this year, At least 100 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, as the Israeli occupation military massively increased violent raids in the area.
Statistics have shown that nearly a fifth of those killed were children. The overwhelming majority of the victims were shot dead by Israeli security forces and many others by armed Israeli civilians. The high number of casualties means that the year 2022 is on its way to becoming the deadliest year for Palestinians in the West Bank since 2015.
The most recent casualties that contributed to this number include a seven-year-old boy who died of heart failure as a result of fear after Israeli forces came to his home accusing his brothers of throwing stones. Another victim was an 18-year-old shot dead on Saturday in East Jerusalem. In addition to this last week Israeli forces were reported to have fired an anti tank missile at a house in Jenin killing four people.
